Hugs and Kisses

Hello,

Well it looks as if the weather is about to change but fingers crossed that we bypass the storms - I am TERRIFIED of them  :(  Both Josh, my son, and myself have been busy making cards and he is hoping to enter a challenge soon :)

This card I made for a couple of challenges. First up is the Allsorts Challenge Blog whose theme is 'Lemon and Lime' and also the One stop Craft Challenge Blog whose theme is 'Get Well Soon'.

I love this sweet little mouse - he looks to be having so much fun, lol! The ribbon is a combination of old and new stash and the green flowers are yet more of those we received from our friends' in Greece! I thought the sentiment was different from the usual 'Get Well Soon' - more light hearted    :)

Hope you like!

Flutterby Greetings!

Hi!

Final post for the day before I get on with some other stuff that is calling me, lol.

This card I really enjoyed making. It is for the Sweet Stampin' challenge - Something Old, Something New. This is something you have just acquired/bought and something you've had for a while and forgotten about... till now.

The papers were from Making Cards magazine. I love this particular magazine as there are some lovely projects but also there are lots of gorgeous papers free and of excellent quality too. The butterfly on the front and the greeting are also from the same mag.

For her shoes I used heart shaped buttons and I used a smaller one for the bow in her hair. I've had these for ages but never used them!  Little gems make the flowers sparkle and stand out.

The pink flowers are from Greece. A penpal likes to put things inside cards and letters so that when you open them it all falls out  :-O   Usually it is lots and lots of sequins but this time it was some really lovely, and useful, flowers.

See you soon,
Paula xx

Another Challenge, Another Christmas Card...

Helloo, back again  :)

Isn't it hot?  Today is a special day as it is going to be Dill's first walk in the big wide world! We are going to take him for a short walk down to the abbey later when it cools down a bit. It should be fun - Attie impatient and pulling as usual and Dill probably terrified to move one foot forward. He is a sensitive soul - though he certainly gives plenty of strife to poor Attie, especailly his ears :-(

I have been busy making cards over the weekend after a few days camping in Silverdale, near Morcambe, Lancs. This one is for the Whoopsie Daisy Challenge - Christmas in June.

Pretty in Pink

Good Afternoon,

This is a card made for the Winter Wonderland challenge - Pretty in Pink.  The papers were free in a craft mag at some point and the glitter paper I got really cheap from Hobbycraft a while back. There are lots of gems and glitter added to give a nice sparkle!

I think it's a great idea to have Christmas challenges and hopefully I will have all the cards I need by then  :-)

Love,

A Fairy Happy Christmas

Back again already, lol!  This time with a card for a several challenges. The first one is at Sweet Stampin' Challenge Blog - the theme is 'Things with Wings'. The second one is at Polkadoodles - 'All of a Flutter'. Next up is Simply Create - #46 'Fly with us'.

The stamp I used is from Polkadoodles - Bevvieboo - the set includes the girl and a set of wings that also doubles up as a butterfly! Coloured with Promarkers and glittered.  The snowflake paper was from a selection free with Making Cards - with a few gems added to make it glimmer. The paper behind the fairy is from a selection of hand made paper which was a gift from a friend. The silver brocade was an offcut from another project. The glitzy blue flowers came all the way from Greece via a penpal and the silver one was actually white just coloured with a Promarker.  I used a Woodware punch for the border. I love the verse and think it suits the card perfectly. My first Christmas card!!

My First Post!

Good Afternoon!

This is the first time in about a year that I have blogged. Lots of things happened (not good either) over the course of last year and card making blogging just went out of the window sadly.

However, now I'd like to get back into card making and entering competitions, not that I'm likely to win any, looking at some of the entries and pictures on blog posts - some people are just so so talented. I'm also restricted moneywise as to the stuff I can buy.

Anyway, first of all I have to try and remember how to do the link thing in the blog post so that it goes to the challenge blogs! Fingers crossed.

The first challenge I am entering is at One Stop Craft Challenge. The challenge for week #136 is 'stick it!'.

For this card I used Promarkers and gold gel pen to colour the stamped images and a bit of glitter to make a little shimmer. My stickers are the gold hearts and the text 'kisses'.  I think I will probably save this card for our anniversay on Sept - the colour theme for our wedding was burgundy and cream and gold  :-)
